House sales data brings glimmer of hope on property horizon - Herald Scotland | Business | Markets & Economy

Property experts have detected grounds for optimism in the Scottish housing market as monthly house sales data in Scotland has confounded expectations by falling far less than expected in November.

The Property Activity Index prepared by Agency Express, which gathers data from the movement and status of for-sale signs across the country, found that in November the number of residential house sales agreed in Scotland fell by 4.0% compared to an 11.4% drop in October.
