Building 'lowest for 20 years' - Telegraph
Construction activity in Central London has fallen to its lowest level in 20 years, highlighting the impact of the recession on property companies and the continuing malaise in the private sector construction industry.
According to the latest Drivers Jonas Deloitte (DJD) Crane Survey, just 2.7m sq ft – or 22 schemes are under construction in the heart of the capital, 52pc down on six months ago and 68pc lower than a year ago.
