House prices fall by 0.7% year-on-year | Money | guardian.co.uk
House prices fell 0.7% in the year to November, the first time annual house price changes have been negative since November last year, according to figures released today by the Halifax.
The 0.7% fall, which was for the three months to the end of November compared to the same period in the previous year, is the lender's preferred measure of change because it smooths out erratic movements. But the year-on-year fall in November itself was even bigger, dropping by 1.4%.
