MP opens city's first council houses for 20 years (From Oxford Mail)
“IT’S the best Christmas present I have ever had.”
Those were the words of mum-of-one Clemencia Blackie, who has been handed the keys to one of Oxford’s first council houses in 20 years.
Her new two-bedroom home is one of the 38 built in Lambourne Road, Rose Hill, which were officially opened on Friday by Oxford East MP Andrew Smith and city councillors.
