Highland house prices increase by 2% in a year - Press & Journal
AVERAGE house prices in the Highlands have increased by 2% in the past year, while figures across the UK fell, it was revealed yesterday.
Figures released by the Highland Solicitors Property Centre (HSPC) revealed the average north house price was £170,004 in the final quarter of 2010, which is an increase of £2,851 from the end of 2009.
However, Halifax Bank reported that across the UK, house prices fell by 1.6% during 2010, dropping 1.3% in December, and the average UK house price had dropped by £5,741 to £162,435 in December 2010.
