Land Registry: House prices up 1.5% in 2010 | This is Money
House prices ended 2010 up 1.5%, according to the Land Registry, but a slump in transactions ensured the market remained in the doldrums.
Property values dipped for the seventh successive month in December, as the average house price in England and Wales slipped by 0.2%.
The average house price stood at £163,814 at the end of 2010 and the number of property transactions fell once more from its already low level.
