The takeover battle for Capital Shopping Centres took a comical twist yesterday after the company slapped a whopping £4.3bn price tag on itself.
CSC, which owns shopping centres around Britain including Lakeside in Essex and
Metrocentre in Gateshead, said the £2.9bn offer by Simon Property Group ‘very substantially undervalues the company and its prospects’.
