City centre historic buildings are saved (From Oxford Mail)
A HISTORIC building and two major businesses in Oxford city centre have been sold in a multi-million-pound deal.
Cantay House, which stretches along Park End Street and includes the Lava and Ignite nightclub, has been bought by building firm WE Black from the Cantay Group.
Included in the deal are Apartments in Oxford, which runs 34 short-term let apartments behind the building and Conference Centre Oxford which opened in 2009. Management of the nightclub is not part of the arrangement and it will continue to lease its premises.
