Ex-army flats to go for £2m in city auction - Evening Times | News | Editor's Picks

A block of flats in a prime West End location is going for a snip at £2 million.

The flats, which for many years provided accommodation for armed forces personnel, will be auctioned later this month.

The block, which contains 21 flats, is in Lowther Terrace, just off Great Western Road, a short hop from Byres Road and surrounded by Victorian and Edwardian townhouses and flats.

Although the building is a rather tired 1950’s block, in an area where flats regularly sell for £200,000 plus, a developer could easily expect a return in excess of £4m.
