Libya unrest pushes oil prices higher again | This is Money

Oil prices were pushed to highs not seen since before the onset of the world financial crisis today, as violence continued in Libya.

The political crisis in the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member-nation pushed oil to its highest level since September 2008, with Brent crude oil jumping to $104.65 a barrel.
US crude was up $1.17 at $87.37, as traders feared that a bloody change of regime would threaten supplies from Libya.

European energy companies are evacuating some staff from the country, which is a major oil and gas producer for the European market.
