WANSTEAD/WOODFORD: Estate agents dismiss house price slump warning (From East London and West Essex Guardian Series)

CLAIMS that property prices are set to plummet by as much as 20 per cent over the next two years have been rubbished by estate agents.

Property expert Paul Diggle, from research consultants Capital Economics, has warned that rising unemployment and a likely hike in interest rates will push prices down as buyers struggle to get mortgages, according to reports.
