Asking house prices rise despite economic reality | This is Money

Home sellers are ignoring the troubled economic reality and putting hopeful higher asking prices on their properties, according to the latest Rightmove report.
The scarcity of new good quality homes being put up for sale is allowing sellers to raise their expectations, the property listing website said.

That comes despite the squeeze higher mortgage rates, substantially above target inflation, the threat of base rate increases, rising unemployment and higher fuel costs.
