Fixed-rate mortgages rise again | Mail Online
Fixed-rate mortgages have hit a nine-month high as banks continue to increase rates.
Borrowers who have waited just a few weeks before fixing may find rates have increased by almost half a percentage point, adding £35 a month to a £150,000 mortgage.
Although the Bank of England base rate has been at a record low of 0.5 per cent for two years, there is mounting speculation that rates will rise soon to counter above-target inflation.
