Neil Young, chief executive officer of the Young Group, stated that the use of social media websites in the property sector is set to open up channels of information to more people.
He explained that this means tenants will be "empowered" as they are able to gather knowledge through sites such as Twitter, which he predicted will be one of the main sites to benefit from the shift in the sector.
