Who owns this £20m marvel? An oil sheik or a Russian oligarch? No, it's Andrew the Polish builder | Mail Online
You would be hard pressed to find a Polish builder more successful than Andrew Holeshowski.
The 64-year-old and his wife Sophie, 51, who left their country when it was still in communist hands, bought their Jacobean-style Surrey mansion for less than half-a-million pounds in 1993.
Fast-forward 18 years and they are now selling up, looking for offers in excess of £20million. That's a tidy sum for a Polish civil engineer who arrived in this country in the late Seventies with just £1,000 in his pocket.
Admittedly, he and Sophie have had to spend millions on refurbishment to increase the value of their house. First off, they had to buy out their neighbours, as the house had been divided into three.
