The House of the Future, Iconic Design and innovative lighting - what to expect at the Grand Designs home expo - Life & Style - The Independent
Innovative lighting solutions, garden design solutions and groundbreaking products - including an informative mirror - will be on display at this year's home design and accessories show Grand Designs Live from April 30 until May 8 in London.
In 2010 the annual design event, based loosely on the TV show of the same name, attracted around 47,000 visitors and featured winning designs from the Electrolux Design Lab competition as part of the House of the Future display.
Some of the highlights of this year's event, the seventh of its kind, are the Iconic Interiors display, Light My Home, the Garden Design Studio and the 2011 incarnation of the House of the Future.
