Household energy bills rise to £1,800 - Telegraph

British households better prepare for a costly winter, according to Energyhelpline.com. The average household will receive a quarterly energy bill of £453 for last winter – a total of £1.56bn extra nationwide.

Energyhelpline blame predicted cold temperatures and average price increase in domestic gas and electricity prices of 5.4pc for the estimated rise.

This will equate to an average utility bill increase of £57.66 per household – more than £200 a year.
