Jobs on the line - News - Wigan Today

MORE than 160 jobs are on the line after a Wigan-based house-builder went into administration.

The weakness of the UK property market was today blamed for the plight of McInerney Homes whose head office is at Beecham Court, Marus Bridge.

Some 14 redundancies have been made already while the rest of the workforce – which includes 82 in Wigan – have currently been transferred over to a profitable part of the group.

This should ensure that existing contracts are honoured, but what happens to the staff long-term at present remains unclear.

KPMG was last night appointed administrator to seven companies within the UK arm of the McInerney Holdings group.

Between them, they employ a total of 161 members of staff and are responsible for 32 private development sites across the UK, together with a number of social and commercial housing development projects.

  1. This is really a good estate company proving houses and properties on rent. I appreciate the services you are providing to people. Thanks for sharing information about the jobs.
