Commercial Property News - Student housing 'can make great investment property'
Student accommodation could well be good investment property, as numbers of those in higher education have been climbing.
This is according to Marcus Roberts, director of student investment and development at Savills, who advised those considering this to look at individual university strengths and the city in question, with location perhaps the most important factor.
"What we are seeing is a flight to quality locations in terms of investor appetite," he remarked, adding that he believes regional student housing has represented the strongest performing sector in the UK with regards to property investment.
