John Lennon’s accountant was on the money in 1964 when he advised the Beatle to buy a house at St George’s Hill, the private estate in Weybridge that sprawls over 960 acres of Surrey countryside.
It is 100 years old this year and ‘the Hill’ continues to be one of the most exclusive gated estates in the country. The Arts and Crafts houses were designed by local builder Walter Tarrant as rural homes for wealthy families in need of easy access to the City.
