Hothouse Property Gossip: Go batty for Nora¿s TV home | Mail Online
The cottage where Last Of The Summer Wine star Nora Batty fought off the advances of her nemesis Compo is up for sale in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
The mid-terrace house, where Nora was often seen pegging out her washing or scrubbing the front step in her trademark wrinkled stockings, appeared in hundreds of episodes during the TV show’s long run between 1973 and 2010.
Currently let for holidays at £500-a-week, it has two bedrooms and price tag of £180,000.
‘It cost us £80,000 in 2004 and it’s been a lot of fun but it’s time someone else took over,’ said owner Neil Worthington.
