Jude Law is spending £500,000 to make his home look more historic.

The actor is proposing the changes to his Georgian mansion, valued at £8 million, in north London as he wants to "return it to its original splendour".

The home is situated in the Highgate area of the UK capital and was built in 1832. It has Grade II listed status, which means it is of historical relevance and Jude has to get permission from the local authorities if he wants to make any changes to its appearance or layout in any way.
