Happy Button Day: Twitter "Follow", Google +1 - International Business Times
Twitter launched a new "Follow" button for websites on Tuesday; less than 24 hours later, Google rolled out its own "+1" button across the web.
Many social media and aggregate sites have provided similar chunks of code already, as attested by many pages' increasing clutter of icons and logos from Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Bizzingo, LinkedIn, and more. However, Facebook's "Like" button is most certainly the one to beat, setting a standard for simplicity and ubiquity -- and both Google and Twitter have decided that it's time to rise to the challenge.
