Why seaside property prices are booming | This is Money

Seaside town homeowners are sitting pretty as long-term property price jumps outstrip the national picture.


Halifax figures reveal coastal towns in England and Wales experienced an average 128% increase in house prices during the last 10 years, compared to a national average of 119%.
But despite increases in both the north and south, there is a considerable regional divide in house price movements.

Owners in the coastal resort Wadebridge have more than the recent sunny spell to celebrate thanks to living in the Cornish seaside hotspot.
