Linley’s touch of luxury at the Lancasters - Telegraph

Linley’s touch of luxury at the Lancasters - Telegraph

Over the course of three decades, the name Linley has become a byword for bespoke furniture. If you want a personalised walnut backgammon board, or a handcrafted wooden desk with hidden drawers, then Viscount David Linley’s shop in south-west London is your first port of call.

Now, though, the noble Lord is branching out in a new direction, by offering not just to accessorise the odd room, but to interior design the whole lot.

He has been doing it discreetly for several years at hotels (The Berkeley, Claridge’s), but has now stepped into the property spotlight by designing an entire £5.4 million apartment at the new upmarket Lancasters development. It overlooks the Bayswater side of Kensington Gardens, and is described as a “trophy” project by its developers.
