The idyllic manor house which inspired the children's hymn All Things Bright And Beautiful is up for sale.

The ivy-clad Elizabethan mansion where Irish poet Cecil Frances Alexander wrote the classic hymn is on the market for £2.25million.

Mrs Alexander was inspired by the magnificent scenery surrounding Llanwenarth House in the Usk Valley village of Govilon near Abergavenny, where she was staying when she wrote the now familiar verses in 1848.
