Sometimes, it’s just not fair. We all know the economy is in trouble but when it comes to house prices not every part of Britain will suffer equally. And guess what? The North looks likely to come off worst during 2012.
As the Mail reported earlier this week, how long it takes to sell your home shows a regional split. And that goes for price falls, too. ‘We expect bigger price falls in the North than in the South as the northern regions are more heavily dependent on the public sector,’ says Grainne Gilmore, of Knight Frank.
