Cream of Devon: Zac Goldsmith sells country estate - Telegraph
It’s fashionable for MPs to talk a good game on their environmental credentials. Think of David Cameron’s Notting Hill windmill. But few consistently walk the eco-walk. Zac Goldsmith, 37, the honourable member for Richmond Park and North Kingston, is an exception. The son of the late billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith, Zac was editor of The Ecologist magazine for eight years before deciding to run for Parliament.
Walreddon Manor, the 534-acre estate on the edge of Dartmoor which he’s just put up for sale, is testament to someone who practises what he preaches. Everything about the house speaks of sustainability and ecological awareness.
