That's one way to get on the property ladder: Family who cannot afford to buy home purchase lock-up garage | Mail Online
A growing family desperate for extra living space have found a unique way of getting on the property ladder - they've bought a garage and turned it into an extra room.
Martin Borman, 44, his wife Lindy, 36, and their five year old daughter Amber found they've outgrown their tiny rented semi, but can't afford to buy a home of their own.
The family, from St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, were so determined to invest in bricks and mortar they went to the very bottom of the property ladder, and bought a lock-up garage for £6,500.
