Chelsea FC celebrating winning Euro ChampionshipThe Premier League kicked off last Saturday with 19 teams vying to wrestle the title from Manchester City – or in some cases simply trying to stay up.

But in the newly released Property Premier League table it's City battling it out in the relegation zone along with Aston Villa and Everton, while Chelsea take the spoils, followed by Fulham and Arsenal.
Property portal Zoopla has worked out how the Premier League teams measure up in terms of their average local property prices, and in some cases the results are far removed from their actual footballing prowess.

Same old City?
Roberto Mancini's men in blue may be going into their game on Sunday as current champions, but they are struggling at the bottom end of the table in the property stakes, with average prices in the area surrounding the Etihad Stadium a mere £98,088.

The figures come as no surprise, considering the ground, originally built to host the 2002 Commonwealth Games, was deliberately sited in a part of East Manchester in desperate need of regeneration. In fact, house prices have risen considerably around Man City's club since the stadium was built, in what is now dubbed 'New East Manchester', but they started from an extremely low base.

Nigel Lewis of Zoopla.co.uk, said: "For fans of Manchester City, knowing that local property values are lower than the majority of their Premier League counterparts may be somewhat disheartening, but diehard fans of Fulham and Arsenal might well ......
