How to have fun and get rich at the same time | Property Investment. Simplified | TycoonSystem

The stark reality most people aren't prepared for when running their own business is that you actually work more hours and you have less control over your time. This is because everything is now your responsibility and you have a lot more things to think about all the time. Every day you will be doing a lot of things you've never had to do before and that you are not good at.
This is why my advice to others is to always do something you are actually passionate about and build a property investment business you enjoy not just because you see £ symbols all over it. I have seen many people come and go in 10 years, those that have survived are always those enjoy what they do. This passion for their work pulls them through the 'tough' stages that would make other people crumble (pulling an all nighter for example to get a refurb done on time).
After everything is said and done, if it doesn't work out at least you had a great time along the way because you did something you enjoyed.
There is a lot to be said for having a good job with progression because you can raise finance easily, it will cover your bills and so on. Do your property investment on the side.
I went into property investment coaching etc because I had been through it myself and understood the frustrations being faced by my peers so I decided to help them because I liked them and I enjoyed helping out. In the early days I spent time talking to people online and on the phone etc just helping out with no expectation of getting paid much for it because I just enjoyed it.
This built reputation, people talked about me and the contacts and deals started flowing by itself later through all the trust that I had built. In time we became one of the largest property investment communities in the UK, but it didn't start that way at all. This is why trying to copying somebody elses successful business often doesn't work.
  • Do one thing at a time
  • Start with the one that seems the most fun to you
  • If none of them seem fun, find something else.
Don't worry about patents, lawyers etc, you are only delaying yourself from getting started. Forget all that and have fun serving people you like. Tennis champions didn't put off playing tennis because they needed the right rackets, right shoes, right coach etc etc. They went to a local park with a crappy court, and had fun with a wooden racket that broke after a few months but it didn't matter because they were having fun doing it. Later on they invested in themselves when they needed to.
So the moral of the story is this: if you just chase the money, in 99% of cases it eludes you. If you solve a problem for people you like, the money will come and you can think about what to do then. If it doesn't you will have had a good time at least and you still have your job. Don't get bogged down thinking about things that are essentially distractions that prevent you from getting started.
