House prices hit as Olympics distracted buyers, says Rightmove | Mail Online

Property prices continued to fall between August and September as fewer buyers went on the hunt for homes during the Olympics, Rightmove suggested.
The average asking price fell 0.6 per cent to £234,858 in England and Wales this month, following declines of 1.7 per cent and 2.4 per cent in July and August.
That equates to houses now coming on to the market £11,000 cheaper than they were three months ago, Rightmove's latest index showed.
