A vast mansion by London's Hyde Park has gone on the market with a phenomenal asking price of £300million, more than double the previous record for a UK house price.
The 45-bedroom property, which used to belong to Rafiq Hariri, the late former prime minister of Lebanon, is being offered to a select list of wealthy international buyers.
The incredible price tag, more than double the previous UK house-price record of £140million, shows how far the luxury London property market has boomed even as the UK economy tanks.
