Amy Winehouse home sale: calculating the price of fame - Telegraph

Having a famous name connected to your property has traditionally been desirable. The thinking goes that interested buyers will pay a premium to live in a property once occupied by a favourite writer or artist. Particularly if they created great works while they were living there.

A period house in Camden, north London, however, proves that this isn’t always the case.

The three-bedroom, four-storey property was owned by the singer Amy Winehouse, who died of alcohol poisoning there last July, aged 27. She left no will, and the house is being sold off as part of the winding-up of her estate.
