Top 10 most 'unaffordable places to live' in London unveiled » Housing » 24dash.com

First-time buyers are still struggling to get a mortgage and nowhere more so than in London. The National Housing Federation’s Home Truths survey has looked at the top 10 most expensive boroughs in London - and the five most affordable.

Topping the table of the most unaffordable areas is Kensington & Chelsea where the average house price of almost £1.1 million is a staggering 24.6 times the average income of around £42,000. Next is Westminster, where the average house price of around £737,000 is 21 times the average income of £35,000.
