An Easter parade of property investments proves that the north west’s economy is springing back into life, property experts say.
A series of deals totalling more than £30m was agreed over Easter, showing that confidence in the city’s prospects is growing fast.

Deals include a Chorley shopping centre sold for £22m, a Farnworth shopping centre sold for £4m, a Wilmslow office block which changed hands for £3m and a Warrington warehouse which was acquired for £2.75m.

In the largest deal, London-based investors Orchard Street Investment Management acquired the freehold of Market Walk Shopping Centre, Chorley, for its UK Special Situations Fund.

They paid £22.25m, reflecting a net initial yield of 7.5 per cent.

The vendor was RREEF UK Retail Property.
