HOMEOWNERS had a double dose of good news yesterday as figures showed rising house prices and more mortgage lending.
Asking prices increased by an average of £50 a day during March – an overall rise of £1,500 on February’s figure and the third monthly increase in a row.
At the same time the number of mortgage approvals for purchases rose to an eight-month high with a strong start to the traditional spring bounce.
