High street vs online estate agents | This is Money
Another day, another claim that high street estate agents will no longer exist in three years as the internet taken over. But is that really the case?
Established estate agent Think Property, based in Essex, has moved from the high street to online and claims that's where the future for estate agents lies.
Peter Joseph, founder of Think Online Property, says: 'Similar to low cost airlines who changed the market with the introduction of online bookings, we believe that online estate agents are the way forward for a number of reasons.
I would even go as far to say that the quiet revolution of online agents could kick start the housing market if these lesser fees allow sellers to reduce the prices of their house in order for a speedier sale.'
