It¿s a wrap for Pinewood sale | Mail Online
Pinewood Shepperton, the British film studio behind the James Bond and Harry Potter movies, yesterday agreed to be bought by Peel Holdings.
The deal was struck after Peel – which is led by billionaire property developer John Whittaker and owns nearly 30pc of Pinewood – raised its bid from £88million to £96million.
It piled pressure on former Harrods owner Mohammed Al-Fayed to table a firm offer for the 75-year-old studio, having voiced his interest last week.
