Seven out of the 11 regions in the UK have become ‘first-time buyer blackspots’ as demand for those trying to get on the property ladder slumps due to rising living costs, a new report has claimed.
Just over a fifth of houses sold this year will be bought by first-time buyers - half the level considered healthy for the economy, according to research by property website Rightmove.
