Over 40 per cent of all UK property currently for sale has been reduced in price at least once, data shows.

The average discount off the original asking price has reached a new high at over £19,500, as more sellers are struggling to sell their properties, property website Zoopla has found.

Two out of five UK properties have been reduced in price to try and entice buyers in what is currently a struggling housing market, it states.
