Many factors 'can push up UK house prices' | Taylor Vinters

There are a number of significant factors which can help push up house values in areas across the UK, with employment opportunities and schools two of the major ones.

Helen Adams, managing director of FirstRungNow.com, said if companies and universities are scaling down in an area then this will ultimately lead to a drop in house prices in the region, as jobs become harder to come by and students are less attracted.

She commented: "Schools certainly can [increase house prices]. In my experience, a good school can certainly push up a house price in that area or keep them up, so that is certainly a factor."
