CML: House sales in 2012 to be lowest in 30 years | Mail Online

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) is predicting just 825,000 homes will be sold in the UK next year as economic uncertainty will continue to deter buyers.
That would mean house sales at their lowest since modern record began in 1978, according to the CML, which says the prospects for the housing market in 2012 are ‘highly uncertain’.
CML is also expecting repossessions to go up next year, from 37,000 this year to 45,000 in 2012.
