RICS: House prices to keep falling as gloom weighs on homebuyers | Mail Online
House prices are forecast to continue their slow decline as economic uncertainty, a lack of mortgages and fears of property deflation hold back the market, according to the latest RICS report.
Potential homebuyers increased in November, for the third month in a row, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said, but 21 per cent more of its member estate agents still expect house prices to fall in the near future.
But on a brighter note for those hoping to move home in the New Year, seven per cent more RICS agents reported a rise in new buyer enquiries than fall and five per cent more agents said they expected sales to increase than decline.
