London rents 'up 17%' to nearly £2,000 a month | This is Money

The cost of renting in London has soared nearly 17% in 2010 with tenants now expected to find nearly £300 a month extra, according to a study.

It comes as a further financial blow to those living in the capital, who already face job uncertainty, fast-rising commuting costs and, along with the rest of the country, a raft of tax rises in 2011.
