House prices rising faster in the North for first time on record | Mail Online
House prices have risen faster in the North than the South over the past decade for the first time on record, research reveals today.
Between 2000 and 2010, the price of a typical home in the North has doubled, rocketing by an average of 102 per cent. During that period, the price in the South rose by only 75 per cent.
It represents a dramatic change from the two previous decades when price rises in the North have always lagged behind those in the South.
