Oxford City Council has selected a shortlist to become a co-investment partner for delivery of up to 1,000 new homes at Barton.
The council is seeking to establish a long-term partnership with a private sector funding partner to deliver a 36 hectare (90 acre) residential-led scheme in Barton.
The site lies to the north east of the city and fronts the A40, and is the single biggest opportunity for housing development in Oxford. The majority of the site is owned by the council and has capacity for up to 1,000 homes with some ancillary commercial, social and community benefits.
