The party is surely over for property tycoon Vincent Tchenguiz | Mail Online
Last week Vincent Tchenguiz was supposed to have been on his yacht in Cannes in the South of France hosting his annual party at the MIPIM property show.
Instead, he was hauled off by police at 5.30am, arrested with six others, including his brother Robert, for questioning about the collapse of the Icelandic Kaupthing bank.
Only the week before, the property tycoon's PR Sean Bellew indignantly disputed my suggestion that the party on board £10million Veni, Vidi, Vici - I came, I saw, I conquered - might not go ahead owing to Tchenguiz losing effective control of the giant Peverel property management company in mid-February.
'Any guest reading this article may think the event was no longer taking place,' he wrote.
