Homes for sale in Glastonbury - Telegraph
Morrissey, U2 and The Wombles are putting Glastonbury town in the news this month thanks to the annual music festival. But there is another reason why this quiet Somerset spot makes headlines – it is one of the West Country’s best-value locations.
You can buy a bungalow on the edge of Glastonbury for as little as £160,000, or a three-storey detached Victorian five-bedroom house close to the high street for £425,000. This is scarcely 75 per cent of the price of similar homes in comparable towns farther west in Devon. A four- bedroom farmhouse with grounds in a nearby village such as Pilton – where the festival’s home, Worthy Farm, is located - costs £600,000.
