Commercial Property News - Investment property buyers urged to research

Research should be the name of the game for those looking to buy investment property in and around London.

That is the view of Stephen Dyer, managing director of Ideal Property, who said there are a number of factors to look into when preparing a real estate acquisition.

He noted there are "basic rules" that should be adhered to in order for the best purchase to be made.

"Buy where people are always going to want to rent. Buy near a tube station ... Go for something conventional - a simple, straightforward property," he suggested.

Mr Dyer went on to recommend ignoring statistics and instead focusing on real-life activity, so opting for property that has a history of demand – whether it be rental or selling – is a wise move.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint – stars of the Harry Potter movies – were recently revealed by PrimeLocation.com to be big buyers of investment property.
